From field hospitals, small steel companies, ammunition plants, college classrooms, and sugar beet fields, World War II profoundly transformed the women of Colorado. Historian and author Gail M. Beaton interweaves historical photographs with nearly eighty oral histories — including interviews, historical studies, newspaper accounts, and organizational records — to shed light on women’s participation in the war.
Doors will open at 5:30 p.m., with self-guided tours available; presentation begins at 7 p.m.
