Landmark Lectures – A Channel Through Time: The History and Legacy of the High Line Canal

Explore the origins, development and evolution of the High Line Canal with historian Rachel Stenz. Built to bring water to the arid plains of Colorado in the late 19th century, the canal has transformed from an irrigation system to a cherished recreational and cultural landmark. Through historic photos, community stories, and existing historic sites along the canal, this evening will trace how the High Line Canal shaped local communities and continues to connect people across generations.

Doors will open at 5:30 p.m., with self-guided tours available; presentation begins at 7 p.m.

Ticket sales begin Monday, March 4 at 8 a.m.

A cash bar will be available with wine, beer and a specialty cocktail.
