06 Jan Landmark Lectures – Ladies of the Brown Palace
Monday, May 4 from 7 to 9 p.m.
Burly pioneers, businessmen and male politicians comprise only half the story of our past. Enjoy an evening with Debra Faulkner, Brown Palace hotel historian, and examine the often overlooked feminine dimension of western development. Explore selected profiles of extraordinary women with various connections over the decades to Denver’s iconic Brown Palace hotel. Taken together, their stories shed light on the changing personal, professional and political roles of women over the more than 12 decades the hotel has reigned as Denver’s Grande Dame.
Doors will open at 5:30 p.m., with self-guided tours available; program begins at 7 p.m.
Tickets: $20 (each ticket includes appetizers)
