This clock was the only item left in the house after sitting for almost 40 years! There are many things that make the Mansion’s clock unique. Look at the bottom of the clock’s case and you’ll find a quote from Dante’s Inferno: Vassene il tempo e l’uom non se n’avvede which means Time passes, and a man perceives it not. Representing images found in Dante’s Italian poem, angels and pomegranates are carved into the case. The clock still works: hear it chime every fifteen minutes, and play a variety of short tunes at the start of each hour.
